The Kinetic Sprint is one of the early seasons best sprint triathlons. This event has a 9AM start so you can sleep in a little for this one! Staged out of beautiful Lake Anna State Park this event is easy to get to and has sold out the past 2 years.

The triangular shaped swim course transitions into an 18 mile rolling bike course on the rural roads of Spotsylvania county. With only 3 turns outside of the park this really is a fast course. The run course has 2 good hills in it and is all inside the park on a combination of paved walking paths and roads.

Water Temperature: We expect the water temperature to be in the mid 60's.

This race benefits the official charity partner of the Virginia Triathlon Series, the Organization for Autism Research and it's Tri For Autism program as well as the Boy Scouts of America. During the registration process please consider making a donation to one or both of these fine organizations.

Event Site Rules

Wetsuits: Wetsuits are not mandatory for this event although they are recommended as we expect the water to be in the mid 60's.

Event Cut Off Times: We expect each athlete competing in this event to be properly trained for it. All participants must complete the race in under 2.5 hours. Race officials reserve the right to pull a participant off the course if it appears as though that participant will not be able to meet the above time requirements.

Note: Participants must collect his/ her own event packets. Photo ID is required in order to collect event materials. NO ID = NO EVENT. ALL USAT annual members must show a valid USAT membership card or pay the one day membership fee ($10)

Lake Anna State Park: Campsites are available for the weekend. There is a 2 night minumum for the campsites. The cost is $55 for 2 nights.

REFUND POLICY
50% of your entry fee will be refunded until April 24, 2009 or until the event has filled. No refunds will be issued for any reason after April 24, 2009. Event entries are not transferable between persons, events or years. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy. By registering for this event you agree to these refund terms. To request a refund you must complete the refund request form using the link below BEFORE the posted refund deadline.

Every effort will be made to have this event on time on this date. Should this event be cancelled due to an Act of God or other circumstance beyond the race directors control there will be no refunds, credits, or transfers.
