Tri to Cure is an event that encourages kids to celebrate the sport of Triathlon while helping other children who are facing the daily challenges of incurable diseases. The 2010 event will partner with Team Type 1.
This year we are encouraging each participant to help make a difference by raising $100. It's as simple as partnering with 10 people for $10 each. $100 can help send a child with Diabetes to camp, buy one month supply of insulin or teach one family how to overcome the daily challenges of Diabetes. Please consider going the extra mile to make a difference. If you do take this fundraising challenge please bring your donations with you to packet pick up. All donations should be paid to Team Type 1.

This event will benefit Team Type 1
The main objectives of Team Type 1 are as follows:
- Strive for 6.5 program - The outreach program where athletes visit hospitals, families and caregivers to educate them on living with and overcoming Diabetes.
- Helping fund and resource the 70,000 people living without the insulin they need. The Team will be going to Rwanda, South Africa to pass out supplies and teach the people how to use the insulin and technology to live healthier.
- "Cure Death from Diabetes" a program to eliminate death from the complications of Diabetes in the next 5 years. This will involve more educational cirriculum, pushing for approval of new technology and having the athletes test new medical equipment to expidite the arrival of the "synthetic pancreas" and closed loop insulin delivery system.
