Description
NEW FOR 2010 - USAT&F Certified Course and Chip Timing
The 5K Package includes a 5K race entry, a race shirt, Drive game admission and reduced prices on food and beverages at the game (must wear race shirt to game to receive special pricing). Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers, and they will be individually recognized during the game.
The net-downhill, point-to-point course starts beside Fluor Field, takes runners out to Dunbar then back on Memminger and crosses Academy at Calhoun just before the 1.5-mile mark. The last two miles of the race are mostly downhill and flat, with the last mile run along the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Runners will finish in Linky Stone Park , and the Drive Trolley will pick up race finishers at Linky Stone and drive them back to the stadium (or you may choose to walk up Main Street).
Kid's Run Description
Click HERE to register for the Kid's Run. The Kid's Run Package includes a finisher's medal, Drive game ticket, beverage coupon, food coupon and a run inside the stadium! The run will start at home plate and kids will run around the entire field on the warning track, then finish back at home plate on the other side. Children from 3-10 are eligible to participate in this run. Children will be grouped by age (3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10). All Kid's Run runners will be recognized during the following Drive game.
Event Site Rules
Event Capacity
The 5K event is limited to the first 500 registrations. The Kid's Run is limited to the first 100 registrations.
Cut-Off Time
All 5K participants must complete the event in under 60 minutes from the start of the final participant. Participants will be allowed to complete the course in more than one hour, but they may not receive an official finish time.
Minimum Age
The minimum age allowed for participating in the Go Drive Run 5K is 7 years of age. The minimum age allowed for participating in the Go Drive Kid's Run is 4 years of age.
Timing System
The 5K will be chip timed. Your gun time will be your official finish time.
Medical Assistance
Bon Secours St. Francis will have members of their staff on the course to assist runners with all levels of medical assistance.
Packet Pickup
Packets will be available for pick up at Fleet Feet Sports on Friday (7/9) from 1-6pm.Packets will be available at the race starting area from 3:30-5:30pm. Onsite registration will be available during all packet pickup times.
