The Smith Mountain Lake Triathlon is the first open water swim triathlon in the western part of the state. This race has been around for a long time and is one of the most popular in the VTS. The water for the swim has historically been in the upper 60's so wetsuits are recommended but are not mandatory. The swim starts and finishes at the State Parks well groomed swimming beach. The bike is 20K and rolling throughout. The run course is all inside the park and is a nice flat to rolling out and back affair. Definitely a nice event to add to your early season schedule.

REFUND POLICY
50% of your entry fee will be refunded until April 17, 2009 or until the event has filled. No refunds will be issued for any reason after April 17, 2009. Event entries are not transferable between persons, events or years. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy. By registering for this event you agree to these refund terms. To request a refund you must complete the refund request form using the link below BEFORE the posted refund deadline.
Every effort will be made to have this event on time on this date. Should this event be cancelled due to an Act of God or other circumstance beyond the race directors control there will be no refunds, credits, or transfers.
