Description
Both a 1-mile race using timing chips and a self-timed 1-mile fun run/walk. This event will precede the Asheville Downtown Association Holiday Parade and most of the race course will be on the parade route with thousands of holiday parade spectators to cheer you on.
Racers and Fun runners/walkers will both start PROMPTLY at 10:45. Course will be divided at start to avoid collisions between racers and fun runners.
Race and Fun run end at Patton & N French Broad, 1 mile from the start
1st .25 M rolling, 2nd .25 M slight up, last .5 slight downhill.

Event Site Rules
1-Mile RACERS
Racers be using timing chips to record their times. Racers will have unique bib numbers and will be eligible for prizes based on finish times within category (Overall M/F 1st, 2nd, 3rd; Master M/F 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Age groups M/F, 1st, 2nd, 3rd <15, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, >70.
Packet Pickup
From 8:00 am until 10:30 am on race day (Saturday, November 21st ), corner of Asheland & Hilliard
