Description
The swim takes place in the clear waters of Mountain Run Lake where athletes will race 1500 meters and exit into the unique transition area that is the Culpeper Triathlon. The transition area and finish line are in a bowl surrounded by banked seating on either side. After exiting the water athletes will do a bike course that is similar to the sprint course but with the addition of a left hand turn that extends the course by 8 miles for a 24 mile bike course. This is not an easy bike course, but it sure is fun with an extended straightaway on 522 that is great for tucking into the aero position. The run course is a challenging 2 lap version of the sprint course. (Note - the run course may be changing pending VDOT approval of a one lap, out and back course)

Culpeper International is Back!
Since announcing the schedule November 1 we were amazed at how many emails and messages we got about getting retiring this event. Well, I hope ya'll enjoy the "return" of this event as much as we do. Race both days and get a signature Culpeper Race Weekend visor.
Water Temperature
This has been 80-84F each of the past 7 years. Not a typically a wetsuit legal event.
T-Shirt Sizes:
Please note that many races in the VTS will be offering women's sized shirts. If you have registered for a race and want a women's sized shirt, please double check the sizing chart HERE as the women's shirts tend to run small. If you want to change your shirt size you have until 4 weeks prior to the race to do so. Anyone registering within 4 weeks of the event is not guaranteed a shirt, specific size or style of shirt.

This event will be timed using the ChampionChip Timing System. (5 splits provided)
You must turn in your timing chip at the conclusion of your race or you will be billed for the replacement!

Policies and Refunds
REFUND POLICY
50% of your entry fee will be refunded until July 19, 2013 or until the event has filled. No refunds will be issued for any reason after July 19, 2013. Event entries are not transferable between persons, events or years. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy. By registering for this event you agree to these refund terms. To request a refund you must complete the refund request form using the link below BEFORE the posted refund deadline.
Every effort will be made to have this event on time on this date. Should this event be cancelled due to an Act of God or other circumstance beyond the race directors control there will be no refunds, credits, or transfers.
