VIEW ANOTHER EVENT
This sixth year pool swim sprint triathlon is held in downtown Columbia, SC at the Blatt PE Center on the campus of the University of South Carolina. This 500 meter swim event will be staged inside the USC Swimming Pool and will feature a 3 loop criterium style bike course which goes through the heart of downtown Columbia, and has been revised with the safety of our athletes in mind. Columbia city police will be on hand as more than 30 officers and 50 volunteers to keep the course safe and mostly closed to traffic. The 3 mile run will feature a tour of downtown Columbia as athletes cross over the busy streets of Columbia via overpass footbridges before the turn around near the Vista. The finish will be held on street adjacent to the intramural fields just a few hundred yards from the swimming pool and the transition area.
3/20/2014 - The 2014 Swim Start Order can be found here. At this time, the swim order has been set and will not be altered. Please remember these times are approximate. You will likely start about 5-15 seconds apart depending on the congestion of the pool. If you have further questions, please bring those to packet pick-up on Saturday and Sunday.

Swim Time Changes
If you are trying to make an adjustment to your estimated swim time change given during registration please click HERE to learn how to do this.
Our registration system allows for people to access their registrations and adjust their swim times prior to the event.
NOTE: All swim times must be adjusted no later than Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 9AM. After this time, participants will no longer be able to make this adjustment on their registration (the system will lock out any changes). Swim times will not be adjusted after this time for any reason.
Submitting a Swim Time
All participants must submit a 100 yard swim time for seeding purposes.
Being a pool swim with a staggered start, participants are seeded from fastest to slowest. It is in your best interest to submit an accurate 100 yard "pace" time for your 500 meter swim. In other words, don't submit your fastest 100 yard swim time, submit a 100 yard time that represents what you'll do on event day over the 500 meter distance.
By seeding yourself properly, you'll end up swimming near people who swim the same pace as you. This will reduce the number of people who you will need to pass or the number of people who will be passing you.
The Columbia Downtown Triathlon will be timed using the MyLaps Tming System.
